Finding parts using filters, keywords, and quick-search shortcuts
Search Parts is accessible from the SavantPLM sidebar. It lets you search and filter across all parts in your workspace using multiple criteria simultaneously. Results appear in a table that you can click through to open any part in the Part View.
The toggle buttons at the top of the view let you filter parts with a single click. Each group is independent — you can combine buttons from different groups. Click an active (highlighted) button again to deselect it and clear that filter.
Filters by Part Type.
Filters by Part Source — how the part is obtained.
Filters by the For Sale flag on each part.
Filters by Part Status — the release state of the part.
All filters work together — results must match every filter you set. Leave a filter blank to match all values for that field.
100 matches 1001, A-1002, etc.and / or logic (see Name Search Syntax).Click Search to apply filters or Clear to reset all filters and show all parts.
The Name field supports simple boolean logic using the keywords and and or:
wire and red — matches parts whose name contains both "wire" and "red".bolt or screw — matches parts whose name contains "bolt" or "screw".You cannot mix and and or in the same search. Use one or the other.
Quick-search buttons pre-fill the filters for common searches so you can find frequently needed part groups in one click:
Clicking an active quick-search button (highlighted) while it is already selected will deselect it and clear the filters.
Results are displayed in a table showing part number, name, class, type, source, status, and other key fields. Click any row to open that part in the Part View.
The result count is shown above the table. Results are limited to the most recent matching records — use filters to narrow down large result sets.
Click the ↓ Export to Excel button to download the current search results as an Excel file. The export respects all active filters — only the rows currently shown in the results are included.
